Rhythms of Hope II concert:
The Children's Cancer Centre of Lebanon UK Ltd (CCCL UK Ltd.) organized on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 its second charity concert “Rhythms of Hope”, featuring the amazing Chehade Brothers at One Mayfair, London.

More than 200 guests attended, most notably Mrs. Lama Salam, the wife of the Prime Minister of Lebanon H.E. Tammam Salam, M.P. Walid Joumblatt, Lebanese Ambassador to the United Kingdom Ms. Enaam Osseiran, the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon’s Chair Mrs. Nora Joumblatt as well as directors of the CCCL UK Ltd: Engineer Paul Eddé, Mrs. Mona Sidaoui, Mrs. Maria Sukkar and Mrs. Hana Chaar.

In her opening speech Mrs. Joumblatt thanked all the guests for their support to the CCCL UK Ltd. that was established in 2014. Joumblatt mentioned that this UK registered charity helped in “curing a child in Lebanon during the year of 2015 after providing the cost of the Bone Marrow Transplant that he needed, and today the patient has fully recovered”. Joumblatt also stated that the CCCL has treated more than 1,200 children since it was inauguration in 2002 and has celebrated the cure of 86 patients in 2015. Furthermore, Mrs. Nora Joumblatt cited that “the center provides the treatment of children with cancer: at no cost to their parents and with complete dependency on donations, to gather its yearly budget that exceeds 15 million dollars”. Joumblatt finally thanked the concert sponsors that have contributed to its success, Dar Al Handasah Shair and Partners, W. Salamoon and Sons London, Chatila, and International School of London.

The event also included a silent auction on a contemporary art piece of printed calligraphy, an Uzbek Suzany masterpiece, in addition to two rings, two dresses and a Mink Stole. The proceeds from this auction went to supporting the CCCL UK Ltd’s mission.
Finally, the Chehade Brothers performed a lovely selection of their eastern traditional songs and famous hits adding great times to all guests.

Inauguration Celebration:
To cope with the growing number of children struck with cancer in Lebanon and the Arab region, the Children’s Cancer Centre of Lebanon UK Limited celebrated its inauguration on Thursday November 13, 2014 at a reception hosted by Her Excellency Mrs. Inaam Oussairan, Lebanon’s Ambassador to the UK, at the Lebanese embassy in London.

First Charity Concert, Rhythms of Hope:
On Saturday November 29, 2014, CCCL UK Limited held its first charity concert entitled Rhythms of Hope, which featured the prominent Lebanese pianist and music composer, Michel Fadel, at the Guildhall London.

Our aim is that funds from this concert are to cover the below treatments:
  • A limb-salvage surgery for a patient who was diagnosed with a tumor in their leg.
  • The yearly treatment for 2 patients at the CCCL
  • An induction to leukemia procedure for 2 patients at the CCCL
  • A tumor resection procedure for 1 patient at the CCCL
